Mosaics even on your head

MOSAICO_0

The art of mosaics is very old, even older than the Roman age, when they became very popular. In classical mosaics, the small pieces that form the mosaic, called tesserae or tiles, were first placed upside down on a template or cloth and then turned over, so they would be in their definitive position on the cement. These tiles were generally ceramic, glass or stone and mosaics were normally used for flooring or just for decoration with geometrical designs, mythological scenes or scenes from nature.

The years have gone by, and the centuries! And in Apli Kids we have created a simpler way for kids to create their own mosaics on sheets or for other proposals.

Would you like to spend a little time making mosaics with us?

THE SIMPLEST ONES TO BEGIN WITH…

MOSAICO_1

Very simple figures, basic shapes and large size stickers to complete these nice little animals. The youngest can begin by getting familiarised with the technique while they develop their fine motor skills, concentration and identification of geometrical figures. Not bad, is it? ;-)

NOW IN THE CLASSICAL STYLE

MOSAICO_2

With EVA foam and without having to put it together upside down and then flip it over. The Apli Kids mosaic kit contains two sheets full of entertainment, manual skill… and a bit of patience! :-D

THESE WILL GO TO YOUR HEAD!

MOSAICO_3

These helmets conquered us. They are an accessory for playing and at the same time a cool handicraft project. How? By decorating them with pieces of mosaic… and even with shiny jewels! By Thor they are cool!

HOW BEAUTIFUL, MY PRINCESS!

MOSAICO_4

When they decorate these crowns, they are so pretty that they immediately want to put them on! With little EVA foam tiles and a lot of glitter, as well as enormous gems to decorate them with! They really are the crown jewels!

What do you think of the Apli Kids proposals to learn mosaic techniques? Can you think of any other proposals? We are listening!

Mother's day
To reward or give prizes to children for good behaviour or because they have done some household chores very well or obtained good school marks is an excellent way to stimulate them and strengthen their self-esteem. It’s not necessary to purchase expensive gifts; the best rewards are immaterial! Such as praise applause and hugs. In this handcraft, we propose accompanying these immaterial “gifts” with felt and EVA foam medals to reward their achievements and make the kids happy and proud.... Read more
